Use Case Summary

OKWX Monitor provides weather-related operational alerts for authorized recipients approved to receive weather alerts, lightning safety notifications, and urgent operational safety messages.

Access Model

Recipients are added and approved through OKWX Monitor’s controlled access process.
Only authorized administrators or staff may add or approve recipients.
The system sends a secure invitation or secure preference-management link.
SMS is activated only after direct consent and phone verification.

Activation Flow For Review

Step 1: Recipient receives a secure SMS invitation email from OKWX Monitor.
Step 2: Recipient opens the secure link and reviews the SMS preferences / direct consent page.
Step 3: Recipient enters a mobile number and continues to verification.
Step 4: Recipient enters the verification code.
Step 5: SMS alert delivery is enabled.
